Racism anyone?

Seen on multiple FB accounts after the India Pak match:

“When the boys in blue come out to play, all the racists, terrorists and ravans run away!!!”…

So much so that one of the news readers in NDTV (i think!!!) actually thought it was a good joke to share –

“The indian cricket team has managed to keep another 11 pakistanis from entering mumbai” – referring to the 11 terrorists who were supposed to have entered Mumbai.

And this doesn’t make us racist? Equating all Pakistanis to terrorists, Srilankans to ravans…Funny? U like it? Well the next time don’t crib when India is painted as a land of slums or whatever else we are ‘racially’ called abroad!

Growing up

You know you are growing up or rather growing old:

1) When u recognize the books a girl appearing for her 11th standard exams is cramming for and with a start realize you studied from that book 13 years ago!

2) You see your first offer letter and realize that it is 7 years old

3)You realize that there are sooo many people younger to you in office.

4) You realize your MBA batchmates are attending “sport’s day” in their kids school

5) You are no longer asked why/when you aint having a baby because people assume there are some “issues”

6) Your paunch is assumed to be a “baby bump” – maybe that’s when you know you are growing fat

7) When a fellow “Why should i have a baby before 30” club member deserts the group. You know who you are!!! u deserter…..hmmmph. Same for you Oh office colleague

8 ) Your conversations with your buddies are no longer around “partying” and clothes and u begin to “mention” things u cooked,

9) When you enter the most happening disc in town and the average age goes up

You know somethings never change when:

When Friday evening approaches and u feel the same ok similar excitement as the last day before the holidays

Thursday evening seems like the night before your last exam when u just can’t get down to studying.

Have a great weekend people!

Bed time stories

So the husband is sleeping and feels cold at night.
Solution: Drag the cover off the nut!
so what if his cover is lying prettily folded at his feet

***************************************************
When we first got married the Tall one was averse to any form of human contact while sleeping. Not even the little finger of the Nut could enter his space, lest the sleep of the Giant be disturbed. The Nut on the other hand would have loved to snuggle up to the human being she married.

Being a sacrifising pativrata Nut agrees to this lack of contact

Come 2011 – the Tall one can’t sleep. He thinks snuggling up will help.
The Nut kicks him off – she can’t sleep if a little finger enters her space.
He has created a monster! Or have i created a monster.
